ChainWatch does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your data is used exclusively to process your case, communicate with you, and improve our documentation services.

ChainWatch ("we," "us," or "our") is a crypto fraud documentation and evidence organization based in Washington State. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, protect, and share information about you when you use our website (chainwatch.net), submit intake forms, or communicate with our team.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Case documentation - To build your Complete Documentation & Evidence Kit (CDEK)
  • Communication - To respond to your inquiries and provide case updates
  • Service improvement - To understand how our services are used and improve them
  • Legal compliance - To comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests
  • Fraud prevention - To detect and prevent fraudulent use of our own platform
  • Billing - To process payments for paid service tiers
We will never use your case details or personal information for marketing purposes, nor share them with advertisers. Your disclosure to us is treated with the same confidentiality as an attorney-client communication.

4. Sharing & Disclosure

We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

With your explicit consent
We share your CDEK and case materials with law enforcement agencies, attorneys, or government bodies only at your direction and with your written authorization.

Service providers
We work with trusted third-party providers for encrypted file storage, payment processing, and email delivery. These providers are contractually bound to use your data only to provide services to us and are prohibited from using it for their own purposes.

Legal requirements
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process - or where we believe disclosure is necessary to prevent harm or illegal activity.

Business transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

  • We do not share your information with data brokers
  • We do not share case details with other victims or the general public

5. Data Security

We take the security of your information seriously, particularly given the sensitive nature of fraud case documentation. Our security measures include:

No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. 6. Data Retention

We retain your case data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, and specifically:

  • Active cases - Retained for the duration of your case processing plus 24 months, to support ongoing legal proceedings
  • Completed cases - Case records retained for 7 years, consistent with legal documentation standards
  • Contact inquiries - Retained for 12 months, then deleted unless converted to an active case
  • Payment records - Retained for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes
  • Website analytics - Anonymized after 26 months

You may request deletion of your data at any time (subject to legal retention obligations) by contacting us at support@chainwatch.net.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access - Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction - Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion - Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Portability - Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format

  • Withdrawal of consent - Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve your experience on our website. Specifically:
